The Move

I know it has been some time since my last update however some things are worth waiting for. We have spent the last couple of weeks working on getting our home ready to rent, moving and getting settled into our new place. I am telling you that the move may have officially helped me make my decision to move down here permanently.

We moved into our new place in Fountain Green in Fountain Green on June first. You tend to underestimate the amount of crap you accumulate over time however seven years has truly helped me accumulate more than I have ever intended. The haul was made by a couple faithful family members truly intent on finding a way to keep us closer to what we had once called home.

The new place is a little smaller than what we had grown accustomed to however we have had no problem finding ways to fill in the cracks and make this house a home. The full acre and hot tub along with the close mountain views and newly found neighboring sheep have helped us begin to love the place.

During the move we decided to spend Memorial Day weekend away from the ruckus and as close to heaven a humanly possible. We ended up on Strawberry Ridge just as the weather decided to turn. It didn’t take long for the wind to blow and the snow to fly. We spent most of the trip holding bundled kids and running from the freezing rain and snow however like always we still managed to have a blast. My boy was able to get in his long awaited fishing trip and my nephew had a great time looking for the gobbler of his dreams.

Soon after we arrived back at our Herriman home we realized that we had moved all of our clean clothes and belongings to our new home in Fountain Green. Needless to say I spent the next three sleepless days and nights in the same set of clothes.

Once everything had been moved down south we realized that the real work had just begun. Between cleaning out the new shop and trying to unpack we realized that we would be in over our heads for some time. The wife has been a champ somehow working and taking care of kids wile my oldest boy has taken on the new job of prairie dog control outside the shop. With his new Red Ryder BB Gun in hand he can hunt four hours without skipping a beat. That boy has truly taken on my passions and will always be right there by my side in every new adventure.

I will try to update the blog at least once a week so that I can keep everyone somewhat informed however I will also be starting a more public blog to track our new adventures so keep an eye out for that as well. Take care and keep in touch. Also if you are down in our neck of the woods make sure you swing by and pay us a visit.
